Shared Google Calendar Update

Class,

I have recently added everyone in the 2015 and 2016 classes to a shared google calendar called “CSR General Activities Calendar”.

http://casemed.org/csr/calendar/

Recently, several events were deleted from the calendar. The beauty of the shared calendar is that it is a single place to post all events. Unfortunately, permissions are not fine tuned enough to stop people from deleting other peoples events.

My hypothesis is that the events were deleted unintentionally because not everyone understands how Google Calendar works.

Everyone has several calendars, that are each given a different color. You can choose to overlay all, some, or no calendars when viewing your google calendar via the web or a phone. If you don’t want to view the group calendar then please simply uncheck the box. Please DO NOT delete the events, because they will disappear from everyones calendar.

Hopefully, this shared calendar will become a tool everyone can utilize.

Universal Activities Calendar

Hey Class,

Please add the CSR General Activities Calendar found at:

http://casemed.org/csr/calendar/

If you don’t want to look at the calendar, Google makes it very easy to toggle calendars on and off without deleting them.

Additionally, EVERYONE has the ability to create, edit, and delete events. So please add all of your organizations meetings, events, etc to this calendar. Make sure to include the proper time, location, description and a clear, concise title. Of course, don’t delete the events created by others! But, if you change an event, make sure to make the appropriate edits!
